Most Builders and Framers we work with are always complaining about one thing – cutting stairs.
Our General Contractor's complain that even though they have good carpenters, they do not fully understand stair cutting.
Our custom Framer's complain that "even though the foreman is a great stair cutter", when he is off in a corner figuring out rise and run, the rest of the crew is busy making mistakes so they have something to fix next week.
Our production Framer's complain that stair cutters come when they want, do what they have time for and leave once they make a day's wage. Usually after lunch!
Give us your overall run (how long the stairs are), Rise, floor finish to floor finish, or sub floor to sub floor (if you don't care what the floor finishes are), and opening size in the middle joist.
We will give you a precut set of stairs including stringers, risers, treads (notched for carpet runner, bullnosed, etc. as needed), that any average carpenter can install.
